The basics of KM

25 06 2007

It takes a computing student to underline something that gets forgotten in the 2.0 feeding frenzy. Here, Anupom takes the trouble to remind us:

  • KM is meant to improve business efficiency. Period.
  • It starts with the basics: documenting processes, documenting applications, documenting code, documenting decisions. Explaining what is what and why it’s so, in a way that the next person can use to lower the learning curve… and turning work done into reusable materials, modern-day productive capital.

That is not the whole story, but it’s the core of the story.
